Using the Thor synth as a HPF only

Hi All,
Would like to ask the experienced Reason users who've worked w/ Ver. 4 that how do I setup the Thor to work only as a HPF for the whole track.
From what I understand, I have to bypass the oscillators and just setup a single filter, maybe a state variable filter and route the audio out from the main mixer to the Thor's audio input.
However, could someone pl. advise the matrix modulation settings?
The effect I'm looking for is similiar to the HPF found on the Xone 92 mixers.
Any other easier way to do this would be more than welcome.
Thanks!

You want to do it for the whole track? Do this:

1. Route the outputs of your main mixer to the "audio input" plugs 1 and 2 on the back of Thor.

2. In Thor's mod matrix, set the first source as "Audio Input -> 1" and the second source as "Audio Input -> 2."

3. Again in the mod matrix, set the first destination as "Filter 3 -> Left In" and the second destination as "Filter 3 -> Right In." On both entries in the mod matrix, set the "amount" to "100."

4. Make Filter 3 a "State Variable" filter and select "HP" as the filter type.

5. On the back of Thor, route the "Audio Output" plugs 1 and 2 to the slots 1 and 2 on the "Hardware Device" at the top of the screen (I'm assuming it's at the top for you).

6. The routing looks like this for me:

Oh, and you don't have to bypass the oscillators to do this. So you could have Thor's oscillators playing while the "external" audio is going through its filters.

No problem.

It always irked me that Propellerhead didn't program an HP filter into the ECF-42. They already had HP filters on the Subtractor and NN-XT, so why not put it on the filter bank, too?

It would be cool if the next version included an improved filter tool.

The piano roll is the main reason I refuse to use Reason anymore. I could rewire into Live but, I just use Live now
