midi channels sent from a computer midi interface will call to each individual synth at your command. run a midi controller thru your DAW and the DAW will talk to the synths for you. You will need a fancy midi interface.

For capturing all that audio, you will need to record the parts your computer plays... an interface to accomodate stereo input from all your synths is the next item to consider. It's personal preference really.

You could also use a mixer to record and mix everything, but then you'd need a big fancy interface with ins and outs and all that.

a patch bay is another monster to consider... i suggest doin homework on all the possibilities and then deciding on how your work style will call for what gear to get. SPending money on lots of gear won't help your workflow if it doesn't work FOR you.
