how does one get permanent marker removed off leather seats?

My little sister rode in the back of my VW this past weekend, on the way to the aquarium. she got a hold of a magic (permanent) black marker and drew a couple of smiley faces and tried to spell out my name before i looked up in the rearview and caught her.
now i didn't get mad, she's only 7 and didn't know the backseat of a VW is not a whiteboard. but seeing how i was visibly upset by her actions she apologized, and she's an angel so of course i dismissed it quickly and told her to ask before she does something like that next time.

to cut a story short: how the hell does one get permanent marker out of leather? i don't want to use something at home and make it set in more, or smear it all over the place. i need effective and proven methods please.

thanks!

thats not very professional, so rip out the seat and we will put a brand new seat in there, the way it should be done....

This will do it mate...get some Skin So Soft and rub it on. It will remove most or all of it w/o damaging the leather. Once done, put some leather conditioner back on. Theres also some stuff called magic eraser if u can find that, which will also work.

Use rubbing alcohol, ask these guys

http://www.ifi.org/

or go to a shoe/leather store and ask the question instead of a forum of trancers.

Yes it is also sold by Avon, but I used to use it as a bug repellent as well and I'm pretty sure local Mart stores sell it too. I can't be sure of your local shops to have it but the K-mart by me did.

I would be careful putting alcohol on it...it may end up lightening it up some. If you go that route, try a small area on the bottom just in case and see what it does.

i come to find the "trancer" community knows a ton of shit, sometimes better than the experts.

also, i'm not entirely positive how many of us, especially those i'm friends with on the boards, actually still listen to trance, except on very rare occasions...
