Opinions on how to liquidate my studio...

I've run into some crap and am seriously considering liquidating my studio for cash. It's literally my last option and I need antidepressants just thinking about it... but shit happened and I may have to suck it up. My question is: I've got a Mac Pro quad-core with a boat load of software - Melodyne, Reason 4, Live 6, V-station, and others that are all legit... if I'm selling the computer, would I generate more interest with everything included as is at a higher price - or sell the computer and software each individually? In other words, if you were in the market for a new computer, would you be inclined to pay more for it with everything, or bare bones just the computer? If I have to do this I want to be sure I at least get the most for it. Yeah, this sucks... your thoughts on the questions appreciated.

i cant hardly see the point... you're not going to get anything. software and computers depreciate like there is no tomorrow.

The mac pro quad core will get you decent coin, and you're waaaay better off selling things individually. I would offer it as separates but do a deal for the whole bundle or parts of it.

I had to sell some stuff when I moved to the USA and if you do it right, you can make great money. I sold most of my studio on ebay in separate auctions and actually only lost about 20% of the full retail price overall (and nearly all of the kit was a couple of years old).

1.sell the computer.
2.keep the software
3.get a shittier mac and continue producing

The amount of money you will get from selling software will be just pennies, no one is really interested in that.

get a second job and ask some friends for a temp. loan instead of loosing all that money selling it. tho you could probably sell some stuff u dont need if u got external gear, or bodyparts

If you're going to sell, absolutely, separate it. It'd be handy if someone came along who happened to want the exact configuration you have, but odds are you'll get much less money selling it as a bulk lot.

You see that on ebay all the time - if someone's selling a hardware sampler, they'll take the expansion boards out and sell those separately. Much more money doing it that way.
