Shut it Arteh! Latvia has a rich cultural history and although there are many Russians living in Riga, it is not the language the majority of people speak.
hmm, so i was in Riga in 2001, so alot of things have changed and while i was there i was staying with family so i diden't hit the clubs so i don't have any recommendations on that. Make sure to go to Vec-Riga (pronounced vetz-Reega) which is the historic and super old part of town, there are alot of kool bars and restaurants there. This one i remember is called Vermenites that is a great buffet style resto that is really good and very cheap(look it up, i forget what street its on). There all also beer gardens everywhere but i don't think they will be open until May. The Jurmala (pronounced yurmala) is the beach lands that are a 30 minute train ride from Riga are super nice and there are tons of hotties and beer gardens and fun to be had there when it gets to summertime. Other than that, enjoy your stay and be carefull not to stop and talk to shady people that try to talk to you on the street esp. late at night, there are alot of robberies. Its not that bad, but be careful just in case.
enjoy your stay and pm me if you have any further questions!
