About flaming
I have spend a day here on this nice forum, reading the topics and have fun doing so while listen to some great edm.
And lets just say, that it was fun the first.. hmm.. 2 minutes but then the flaming began. And Im not only talking about one or two users which gets crusified and verbally raped.. its like that in most of the topics and it makes me mad, but mostly sad.
Try to imagine people who are new to the edm music (I wont name a genre because that would lead to flaming Im sure). That user have maybe got some music from his friends or even bought it on a website or in a store, and are very happy with his/hers new discoveries. Now they have found this forum, and are happy that they now have a place where they can talk about the music that they have just gotten into.. and they write their first ever post on the forum, eagerly awaiting an answer to their music question.. but this is how it goes in 90 percent (if not more) of the posts:
1. Forum member writes a post.
2. one of the nice (and not flaming) members reply in a nice way.
3. another member reply, still in a nice fashion
4. One of those members who clearly regards themself as "MR I know everything and my word is the law AND the only way I can feel good about myself is to verbally rape and flame other members until they never come back on TA again".
5. more user bashers joins the fun.
6. A few of the more mature members try to defend the member who made the post and tries to stop the flaming.
7 Flaming continues, now targeting the defenders of the poster.
8. Now everyone is angry and flaming is at its highest.
At this point the members who wrote the post have given up and have left the discussion.
This is bacically the way 90 percent of the topics I have read has ended. I do know, that many of you more experienced members are sick and tired of the same questions, but then please dont reply to them at all, or if you do, just leave a link to a post covering the topics the members has requested, or ask them to search the forum.
I do know, that I will get flamed when I post this, but actually I dont give a shit. I have read these forums for two years now, and it have been the same all the time, continous flaming and herassing.
I feel Im going to vomit when I think of those members who come with those cruel remarks, they are the cream of selfcentered pricks the internet forums have ever seen, and you can quote me on that.
I wont apologise, instead I think that all you flaming members owe an apology the new members who just wants a place on the web to hang out and discuss music, but all they get is rude remarks about how their music taste stinks, how bad they smell, how brainless they are, how ugly the look and so on and so forth.
I dont know if any of the mature members feel the same as me, but I got the feeling that Im not alone on this one.
Just wanted to tell how I feel..
