My question is could the venue be worse then a wedding party room in the outskirts of Richmond?

Wow, who would promise that a performer would not be back within a certain time frame, especially if they always do well when the come. It's Armin FFS. Plus now he's got #1 attached to his name.

Yeah, I can't believe ticket prices in Van. You can see the same guys/gals in TO even for half the price you pay. He'd be around 70 bucks there wouldn't he? The show is 35 here.

Yeah fucking toronto, I was at Contact and paid 20 bucks for shultz menno rank 1, plus access to every other room. Generally at clubs the shows are less then 35, but last time Armin came the show was held at some shitty wedding party place and the tickets were 65 bucks.

WTF, you were at Contact too? Damn us outta towners should have met up. I flew into TO for that party then flew back the next day. I love parties at the Guv, they're big and cheap to see. Saw Above & Beyond last year and it was 20 bucks. Probably pay that much to see them here but in a really shitty venue compared to the Kool Haus.

I don't know if I'd pay 65 to see anyone here anymore. Tiesto was the only one and that was lots.

The announcement that Armin would not be in Vancouver for one year was something passed on by his management in accordance with his upcoming tour schedule and was entirely accurate. However, no one took into account the fact that this might be the year that he achieved number one status on the DJ Top 100 poll. As he is now ranked first in the world, he is conducting a world tour in celebration and promotion of this new standing. He'd be silly not to with his newly garnered status.

yea yea stop defending them when ticket prices are double than anywhere else and the show is at a wedding parlor... but this is old discussion and doesn't fit in this thread anyway.

Then maybe we can relate it to this thread by comparing how having this event at Pharaoh's nightclub is better than at a wedding hall.
