ok...i know it may seem this way, but i'm not totally computer illiterate...yet i keep running into problems that i can't solve...here's another.
i just recently installed 128 MB of ram ontop of the 64 i previously had. the problem is, at times my computer is still using the maximum amount of available ram...i'm not running shitloads of apps...usually just aol, napster, and a couple of IE windows. after a reboot my system is using around 60% of my available ram but after my computer has been on a while, it seems to always be using the maximum amount of available memory...even if i close some of the apps. that i'm using...why is this...what's wrong.
(i am using the right type of ram...sdram pc-100...and i did install it properly...i think....i've never installed ram before...but after installing and upon rebooting my system, it detected the new ram that i just installed)
