Anyone using Torq Xponent?

After watching a few youtube videos, I'm thinking of getting the Torq Xponent/Torq package instead of the Torq/Vinyl/CD kit.

Has anyone found another controler other than Xponent that will take advantage of the full capabilities of Torq?

I have nothing against Xponent... it's a great all in one that utilizes all of torqs capabilities. But the thing is lacking build quality. I have torq vinyl and have a trigger finger, 2 x 1200's and a xone:32, I much prefer working with traditional gear then an all in one, this is merely a preference thing. But if I had the money, I'd get Xponennt for house parties, it's so damn portable.

Thanks for your comments.

I own Technics 1200's, CD Players, and been using Computer DJ software since 1999. So, I'm fully aware what I'm getting into.

"Traditional Gear" is nice but, this device opens up your creativity beyond what a Turntable or CD Player can offer.

When you say "Build Quality" do you know someone that experienced the Xponent breaking down in the middle of a gig?

perhaps he means how it feels...personally i think the xponent feels cheap...meaning its made completely out of plastic. doesnt feel rigid and able to take a beating.

just my 2 cents

I have the Xponent back stateside, I love that thing to death... I miss it deeply. It has become my favorite piece of gear. You can do ao man things with it, especially if you use a trigger finger with it. It used torq to its full capability because it was built to use with torq. I also love it because its lightweight and easy to transport... I can go to a gig with my XPonent, Trigger Finger, headphones and external HD in my backpack and a small laptop bag for my Macbook if I want. Sure beats lugging records about. And I disagree I think its pretty well built... I wouldn't recomend jumping on it liek an ape but I've had mine about a year and a half and its never been damaged at all. Hell, even over here I have my XSession pro (the light version of the Xponent) and the Iraqi sand can't beat this thing down.. they are built pretty well I feel.

Its very intuitive as well right out the box its ready to go, its so easy to use and it just feels so natural.

just my dos centos.

Thanks.

That's the type of information I was looking for. It seems the only gripe I'm hearing is it's cheap feel. That shouldn't overide it's performance IMHO which, holds more weight as far as I'm concerned.

Its built pretty well... I wouldn't reccomend using pliers to manipulate the knobs or sliders, or using it as a blunt weapon to fend off a crazed clubgoer attempting to steal your external HD, but she'll treat ya good. I still proudly say it is my favorite piece of kit now.
