your sig is just weird

I find it pretty cheesy for the most part.

Then again, I find most "soft ballads" cheesy in any context -- whether on their own or in a set.

An intro track is important for an initial buildup, but certainaly not one that is a cheesy soft ballad.

I mean not only ballad, soft music.
I think that it makes the start or the end of the set more emotive.
Songs like the soft edit of "Martin Roth - Off the world" are very goods for starting a set...

I think that lots of people use "ballad" as a synonym for "sentimental / nostalgic / romantic song."
