good luck to ya man. it's going to be quite the learning curve for you as i'm guessing you don't have much corp IT experience. but the experience you're gonna get, especially at a very early stage in your career, will be invaluable. i know what ERP is but i haven't worked on any related projects so i don't have any advice for you.

Similar here... I'm a project manager for B2B e-procurement, which touches EDI, but I do integrate SAP procurement systems with ours as punchouts, but not exactly ERP you're looking for.
