hey i have both vengeance club sounds 1 & 2, but i find i'm needing more kinda.... i'm not even sure what to call it so this is pretty sad, but basicly more percusion that isn't so generic like shakers and bongos. really the best explaination is alot of the loops from the vengeance sample packs i have tried to re-create or make simliar to, but i find alot of the sounds i hear in the loops aren't in the sample packs. now i don't know if there adding effects or what to some of the existing percs that are already in the pack or what, but i have been having trouble lately being happy with my drums and percs (which i really think is the most improtant and driving part in a song).
so i'm gonna ask this: what are some techs that you guys use to spice up your percs so that you're not just building patterns out of already existing samples.
i have tried adding delay and phasing on some sounds (phasing i have not liked at all becuase the phase stretches too far across the freq and sounds wack)but i still can't quite consistantly find what i'm looking for, i'm basicly trying to recrate the style of loops that are in the vengeance pack."traditonal trance style, alex morph/stoneface & termianl" yes i know very original huh? whatever though thats my favrotie style and until i can make my own tradtional styled songs consitantly, i'm gonna be focusing my time on doing just that until im confident enough to focus on other styles. so any help or insight is much appreciated !!

yeah honestly thats kinda been my only other for see-able option. is to get the house , electro and even minimal sample packs. the percs i hear popular (not that i'm trying to follow a trend but... some sounds get old) seem to be which from which i kinda guessed are from the other sample packs they released. the main one which i need ASAP, cuz i feel its holding my songs back by having to use these old fx samples that were really made for hardstyle and hard dance (creating a level of cheese)is to get the new vengeabce fx vol 2. from the sample it sounded like it was geared perfectly for trance and progressive and not at a 140 hard dance tempo.
also i hear vengeance is coming out with a new "club sounds vol 3" this year i think in the fall. i can't wait to hear what they got for us !!! so hopefully they have some nice mid tempo loops in there, although i've been trying to get away from that convenience to create my own.

This and VECS or any other sample pack e.g. Icones pack is good is you dont have any others as it covers all the basics.
µTonic is a drum synth and isnt sample based and using the step sequencer (and saving as WAV loops) I can create some interesting noises to spice up the percussion.
what's icone's sample pack called?. i bought a refill from sonic flavours which he helped create and found it to be excalent for all my traditionly styled trance leads. (really though. any reason users should pick up this refill pack. it is great in my opinion !!

Stylus RMX - it's much more flexible than using pre-fabbed loops, although it's also more expensive. I use Propellerhead's ReCycle to port my loops (including Vengeance and Icone loops) into Stylus RMX where they become MIDI-based, allowing me to edit the loops to my desire or use the individual sounds within a loop however I want. It's not a cheap route, but you'll never recognize a Vengeance loop in one of my songs.
But, I'll also give a +1 for µTonic. I've only used the demo, but I was very impressed.
