man there are only 3 locals here, what do you expect them to do? There not going to waste the money putting a headliner on at 9pm and there not going to put one on as the last DJ up usually 6-8 am. There are 2 guys from Germany doing a tag team, i wouldnt really consider them local. This riverside party has more headliners then most.
man i dont think you realize the magnitude of a plaza or PNE production, its pretty much impossible to throw your first party at a venue like that without having a name for yourself. I mean come on who the fuck are "ShyBrothers productions" anyway? i dont know nor does anyone in Vancouver. Plus whos to say they would even be able to get a permit for one of the big venues the plaza just opend up again, the city is being pretty tight assed with permits.
Marco V may have a name in The UK and toronto but not here, despite how much our TA's love him, his name dosnt mean shit here. |
Maybe there are not all locals but there are definetly more than 3. Also being from an other country dosen't make you a headliner in my books. Come on man you worked for Pure right? How many headliners did you guys have. Mixmag/Xtravaganza Dec 2000, sweet line-up sweet party, there must have been 6-7 headliners. The Slinky party was pretty sweet as well. They just don't make many partys like that any more and it is seriously starting to bother me. Ahh, the good old sweet parties were great 2. But now you got these promoters trying to sell us these so-called 'great' parties but they are not in comparison.
Yes I do know the magnitude of a plaza and PNE party. And you made made a good point that since Shy Bros are nobodys in Vancouver it might be harder to get a venue like plaza or PNE.
Really? I didn't know Marco V is a nobody in Van.
