COR: Pick my travel destination
I'm planning a trip somewhere towards the end of the summer. I have a very limited budget (luckily I don't care much for luxury) and I want to find the cheapest destination possible. Factors to consider; hotel prices, flight prices, local food, restaurants, etc. Factors I don't care about: touristy things, nightlife & parties. I've already considered a bunch of different ideas for chopping off some of the cost (such as not getting a hotel and staying up all night on the first and last day, to the crazier ideas like finding an isolated spot and sleeping on a beach ) but if you have any more suggestions I'd like to hear them.
Here's a list of rules:
-Must be in the continental US (this will be my first trip in 10 years and the very first time I travel alone, so I prefer to start out with a more familiar environment).
-Must be within reasonable distance of an airport
-Must not require a car to get around
-Must be by the sea (atlantic or pacific, don't care)
-Must be during the second half of august (so consider climate)
