no regrets. i use them with my onboard mobo soundcard which is some shotty realtek sound bs.

best sound card money can buy would be the soundblaster x-fi series. not too expensive either, ur lookung between $100-200. their are different ones for like games or applications. it got great reviews, check it out.

id say get one with DTS as those speakers support it. its a pretty normal standard on any sort of professionally mastered movies.
