About 48 hours is my limit. But once you go through the stage that you really need sleep it is ok.

Sleep is a strange mistress. You need it daily, but if you don't get it it has no real ill-effects on you.

Sure you get tired and pissed off, but you won't die from a lack of sleep.

I was reading once about this college dude who did an experiment - he went for 2 1/2 WEEKS without sleep. Once he'd missed one sleep pattern he didn't really change for the rest of the time. Strangest thing is, once the experiment finished, he slept for about 18 hours, and was absolutely fine when he woke up, as if he'd been sleeping normally for the past fortnight.

As for myself, I survive on very little sleep. When I was studying at university I got into the habit of going to bed at 3-4am, simply because I very rarely had morning class (and usually didn't go if I did!). Now that I work full-time I have to be up at 7am to arrive on time, but I still end up going to bed at like 1am or whatever.

Madness, but I can't stop

Plus heavy partying weekends usually means that Monday sucks total ass for me hehehe

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure you can die from sleep deprivation, though long before that you'll start having hallucinations and probably just end up passing out.

haha, i've gotten hallucinations from sleep deprivation before.. was during the summer... went like 4 days without sleep and one night i said fuck it and creeped my way upstairs only to see some man leap out at me from a corner and attack... i yelled out loud and jumped slightly... before realizing it was just a hanging jacket... that's the only time i've ever hallucinated..... 'shrooms just make everything distorted and funky for me.... no real hallucinations...

i find that very hard to beleive, as i have seen a study showing how you go mad after 6 or 7 days without sleep... ur brain just cant handle it as it hasnt had a chance to organise everything (i.e. dream), the only way i can see him goin 2 weeks without sleep is on amphetamines... even then thats pushin it a bit

u can safely go 3 or so days without sleep, but anything more than that isnt really a good idea..
