Digital camera recommendations

Not sure if there was another forum this should be posted, but whatev.

So it's time to get a new camara to replace the old one. What I'm looking for is not only a camera that can take a decent photo, but one that can video and record good sound. I've noticed alot of new cameras can take great video, but with less than stellar sound. Especially when recording in a club or loud environment, where I plan on taking video the most.

Any suggestions? Thanks; appreciated.

And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway."

I use an old Nikon L3 in the club. Takes an OK picture but the sound quality is amazing. Not sure how their newest models handle video/audio though.

I know Canon has a couple models that feature an adjustable mic level, but not sure how well that does in protecting against strong bass.

Here's a recent video from my L3. The monitor was inches from my head and goin at a decent level.
