I'm using Sonor 7 P E
I've never created my drums from scratch using one shots before. I'm trying to find any help associated with this topic. Please any help would be great!

OMG, another Sonar 7 user on this forum?!!!! I was beginning to think that this was the unofficial Fruity Loops/Reason forum.

I can help. What are you using as your drum VST? Insert is as a soft synth, go to View > Step Sequencer, set the notes in the step sequencer to match the triggers on your drum VST, and start punching in patterns on the grid. Stretch/move the clip as needed. To make a new pattern, just make sure that an existing clip isn't selected and repeat the process. Easy as Cake (pun intended).

You could also just import kick, snare, hats etc. straight into the program as wav files, and arrange them.

I use Sonar as well . Its an awesome app.
I recomend getting a muliti channel sampler such as Battery, or Guru (Thats what i use). Then you can have your different drum parts on differnet channels with thier own effects chains etc. You can Just open new audio tracks and assign them to the different out puts on ne multichannel instrument. You can also open New MIDI tracks for different partsas well if you want ie Kick and snare on 1 midi track, Hats on another etc to make it easier to arrange them later. I should think its obvious to turn them into groove clips ...
Name them ie. Kick, Snare, Hat 1, Hat2, Perc 1 etc etc. Keep them all in the same folder is handy too.
