About our new Academic versions
Educators and students who would like to purchase a copy of Reason 3.0 or ReCycle 2.1 for personal use can now take advantage of our new Academic versions.
Who is eligible to buy an Academic version?
Music or Music Technology educators currently teaching at school, college or university.
Students who are currently enrolled on a college or university diploma or degree course in Music, Music Technology, Audio Engineering, Performing Arts, Media Studies, Communications, Graduate Teacher Training, or other equivalent course that involves some study of Music or Music Technology.
Students in full time secondary or high school education can also qualify for an Academic version, if Music or Music Technology is included as a main examination subject or curriculum option.
What ID is needed in order to purchase an Academic version?
Educators will require current teacher/faculty ID, or an official letter from their institution. Membership cards from certain organisations such as MENC (and MENC allied associations), or MTNA will also be acceptable. This ID is required at the point of sale. Students will require official and validated student ID, or a letter from their faculty or school Music department stating that they are enrolled on an appropriate course, or are studying Music as a main subject. This is required at the point of sale.
Where can the Academic versions be obtained?
Academic versions can only be purchased through approved resellers, and are not available online. For details of your nearest academic reseller, please contact the Propellerhead distributor in your territory. A list of all our distributors can be found here.
