i'm sorry if this has been asked before, but i searched and didn't find anything. does anyone know what key "better off alone" is in? i'm going through my library and figuring out keys and for some reason i'm having a hell of a time with this...i don't deserve to be called a musician :-(

You might have had a hard time because the bassline goes E - D# - G# - F#; it never actually uses B.

Why would you want to know the key of that song?

Because it helps clarify, musically, where you are, and what you can expect from what notes and chord progressions you try out. It saves time rather than reinventing the wheel every day.

I think he meant, why would one wish to know the chord progression of a shit-ass track.
