In a nutshell: another very good night at The Boom Boom Room; definitely worth the 3 hr drive there and back!
Matt Herdman opened the club with an electro-only set for the first 1.5 hours or so: he dropped some sick tunes, one of which is his latest production which (unless I am mistaken) has not yet been released but will, I suspect, do quite well when it is put out.
Joel hit the decks some time between 11:30pm and midnight. He played a techno/hard house kind of set with a few upbeat tunes here and there. He dropped a few of my favourites such as Not Exactly (highlight of my night!), a vocal remix (or mashup?) of Faxing Berlin, Secondary Complications, and a mix-up of Arguru and another track. He also spun his brand new remix of Energy 52's famous Cafe del mar! The set lasted for approx four hours, including an encore at the end at the crowd's request. This was my second time seeing the Mau5 perform and I'm very glad that I made up for not being able to catch his gig at the Guv a while ago. Thanks for another wicked performance Joel!!
It was nice to see so many of the Windsor peeps last night. Everybody (both the people I knew and the strangers I met for the first time) was very friendly; I didn't encounter one negative person at all. It was also good to see both Remo and Renaldo out at the same event. As always, thanks for the hospitality Remo: you always make me feel right at home inside the club!

I love that Joel is playing alot of Techno and Tech House now. I can't stand electro anymore.

last night was fun, good to know you're home safe nick. we rocked it out pretty well buddy. I had a great night, awesome atmosphere with everyone in good spirits. that girl dancing on the stage there was before hand dancing on a small top-heavy table that i had to hold or her face would have probably met the floor. bring on bad boy bill saturday!!
