Nexus Compression question

Hey guys, wonderin if you could give me a hand up on this one, I'm a bit new to nexus and I was wondering if the "drum singles" percussion needs to be compressed? Or is it already compressed and i'll lose dynamic range?

And is there any way of breaking the full drumloops samples up?

thanks.

No, they don't need to be compressed and no there isn't a way to break them up.

You could render a loop to wav and cut it up in a beatslicer. Not sure how well that would go with the nexus loops though.

I've done this with ReCycle and ported some Nexus drum loops into Stylus RMX - worked beautifully.
