Oh yes he said the same thing about smoking in cars and police airplanes. Most Toronto drivers suck regardless of whether or not they are on a phone. In fact most of the douchbags i pass who are doing 80 in the left lane are by themselves and spaced out in their own little world.

Your personal experiences are irrelevant. There were studies done on this.

I cant wait for the flood of douche bags that park on the side of highways to take a call which is probably 1000 times more dangerous than talking while driving.

I disagree. And just like you, I don't have to provide any evidence for why I think I'm right. I just am.

Tap water is safe to drink.

1) define what is water. Water is H20. As soon as you add calcium, iron, etc its no longer water is it? Otherwise wed have to call juice, pop and anything else liquid as water right? Id just change the label from water to "Calcium drink"
2) Canned Water - worse for the environment as you have to mine materials and smelter the can but hey, at least its not plastic water bottles!!

what the fuck

BTW speaking of electronics, the liberals are secretly passing a new tax on electronics that will increase the average cost of a computer by 30-40 dollars. I think cameras will cost $15 more. Apparently this is to cover disposal. BTW most items can be disposed of for free privately as there are valuable metals and minerals such as cadium, gold, platinum, silica, and aluminum that can be stripped and sold for a decent price. But dont let the facts get in the way of a new tax for mcguinty, er sorry i mean "surcharge".

I've got so many issues with this post that I don't even know where to begin.
I guess I'll start with water. Pure water (i.e. 100% H20) is not easy to find. Should we stop calling the water in lakes etc. 'water'? | no but if you are going to ban something, be clear on what it is you are banning. If the government wants to nitpick i think its fair to do the same.
| quote: | | Although I agree that BPA is not a particularily dangerous substance, I don't think you can fault the Ontario government for a recommondation made by Health Canada. | you confuse bottled water with water bottles. Water bottles (hard plastic) is being banned because of BPA. Soft plastic bottles are being done away with because of "recycling concerns"
| quote: | | I also think you have missed the point on the paper bag issue. The LCBO's current bags use much more plastic than most (read 'all') other retail paper bags. The issue here is to drive consumers into reusable cloth type bags, rather than single use paper. And in any event, its not so much of a 'ban' by the government as much as it is a change in one small policy. |
so as an adult consumer im being forced to comply with someone's idea of conservation? It would be fine for the liquor store to do this IF THEY WERENT A MONOPOLY Also, forcing regulation onto private entities? If the consumer doesnt want plastic they will stop providing it. Until then, lets have a choice.
| quote: | | What is your point with electronic devices? They're not going to outright ban balckberrys, mp3 players etc. Are you talking about in cars? | i thought that was implied. But yes they are.

Actually thats mcguinty. He has all the answers to the questions nobody asked. His answer is to ban it. Good distraction though from the real issues hes doing nothing about.
Sadly i could never make this stuff up on my own. Im not as creative as they are

It's not your store. Why should you have any say at all? |
Actually the LCBO is everyone's store. It's taxpayer funded. So i do have a right to say something as it's the only place in Ontario where i am allowed to buy liquor.
If it were a private store id simply shop elsewhere and it wouldnt be a problem.
But that is a choice that PRIVATE retailers should be able to make. Not imposed onto them by a government entity.
