I am seriously interested in starting a shoutcast station on the web. I am interested to see if anyone has one or knows anything about the way to set one up. Not some shit ass one, i mean a real one with live sets not just random play mp3's. I wanna know what is involved as well as what equipment i might need!

All the technical info can be found in the ShoutCast documentation.
As for hardware, well I suppose you need a soundcard, a mixer and a pair of turntables (or CD decks ...). Oh and also a really fat connection if you want to be able to support more than a few listeners at a time.
