my mate had 2 emu samplers, one time he had a external zip (need to have scsi fitted), and the latest one he used a scsi connection to his pc. This allows you to store and edit on the pc, then transfer them to the emu for playback.
This is a very good option and it allows many processing capabilites but it keeps the sample within the digital domain!
As for the outputs, it all depends what the sample sis going to be used for. If its everything or all the beats then you would want if possible, separate control over the individual sounds. e.g. kick, clap, hihats, cymbals etc
As you may rverb the clap but not the kick etc. You could wait to see if you need it? Although i believe another benefit is that the turbo board adds effects on the outputs, which is very helpful.
