New electro-tech house straight outta NYC!

-// OUT NOW! //-

The Bit Crushers are the unstoppable duo of NYC producers DJ Fame (Sullivan
Room) and Gaby Dershin (Astro&Glyde), up to their low-down dirty antics once
again with this underground electro-house smoker called Up In Yo face! The
track features features a filthy distorted bassline, a warbling mid-range
filtered tone, and the Bit Crushers signature cut/paste vocal stabs. Plenty
of surprises around every corner of this arrangement too, and a decidedly
big-room rave-ish feel on some of the minor chords peeking through the pounding
kicks. Miami club DJ and scene stalwart Gabriel Robella picks up the remix
and delivers a decidedly more South Beach interpretation. This is a tribal-tech
monster with some really massive drums, big white-noise washes, and more peaks
and valleys than a Disneyland rollercoaster!

This is one NYC-based producer that is turning heads lately. John Digweed
protege, Chris Fortier collaborator, and Olaris Records boss Royal Sapien
returns to Quarterlife Records NYC with a progressive journey entitled Everything
I Love Is Underground. Somber moody notes are plucking over an rough old-school
progressive bassline with plenty of arpeggios and washes to keep things fluid
an glued together. Indicant's remix brings a more dirty small-floor underground
electro-house feel with a massive contorting stereo bassline that just oozes
acidic dirt. Gated vocal snips graze over vintage low-bit synths with the
ever-increasing fever pitch of an unusual filtered white noise arpeggio. Alex
Pearce rounds out the release with a more melancholy and progressive interpretation
that features an oddly-timed bassline, Spartan percussives and energetic washes.
Lots of 16 note modulating riffs give this remix its go-go-juice.

Veteran New York City DJ/producer
DJ Eco graces Quarterlife Records with a fierce 3-track EP that is sure to
have a little something for everyone! Whitebox starts out with a bit of a
chuggy electro-house feel and morphs into a beautiful melodic progressive
piece for the big-floor that has little surprises around every corner. Pumping
pads and washes fill out the meat of this track. Blackbox is pure evil electro-house!
This dark monster has jagged and furious sounds with a huge sub-bassline...
floor-filler material for your peak. Redbox rides the line between tech-house
and electro-house with a relentless glitchy vibe, plenty of distorted elements,
and a loose shaky drum section. The innovative breakdown puts you into a British
sci-fi show from the 1970's... magic!

Blackbox: freakin nasty business you put together here...seriously raw slab
of funk for the late night masses - tops! Redbox: lean and mean, down and
dirty, purely peak-time dancefloor destroyer! Whitebox: great piece of work
here - totally has that end-of-the-night, hands-in-the-air, gimmie-some-more
vibe!
- Dave Brock, Daybreak Heavyweights, Cicadia Rhythm (US)

Cool!
