Question Rss Feed aggregator

anyone addicted to online blogs, newspapers etc?

I am really getting at a point where I need to organize my "reading" ... I follow something like 30+ websites from various fields like graphic design, art, technology, news etc

anyone know of a good online feed aggregator?

I would like to consider a software one but am ambivalent of coordination between the online/software version.

Bloglines seems pretty good I dunno..

Google reader apparently refreshes feeds hours late sometimes days and I can't have that happen.

an rss feed is basically a feed you can add to your news reader whatever and so you are notified automatically when there are updates.

or to quote wiki:
quote:
RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format.[2] An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed"[3], or "channel") contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays

once the feed is updated you can read it like here:

you get the idea.

Everything in one place instead of having to go to all the sites individually.

the feed itself is just a duplicate of the website content ( more or less ) and this feed is updated whenever there is new content.

When this feed is added to your news reading application, it updates at whatever frequency you want it to. Like every ten minutes it can check if there are any articles on your news feeds.

You can then read what's been added through the application directly all in one convenient place instead of having to go to every website individually to see if there's anything new.

Think of it like a http://news.google.com/ except that here it's you that specifics what news you want ( from the rss feeds ) and whenever there is something updated it's right there.

instead of you going from website to website reading up the news, the rss feed aggregator compiles all the latest news updates for you to conveniently read in one place
