Question Now comparing 2 mixers....need more help :)

Which of these is better?

http://www.hollywoodj.com/pioneerdjm300s.html

or

http://www.hollywoodj.com/stantonrm3s.html

I want to know because I am either going to get 2 CDJ-100s and the Stanton mixer or the Pioneer CDJ-100 Package which includes 2 CDJ-100s and the DJM-300 mixer. Which one am I beter off going with?

Thanks for your help

i like the pioneer 300 mixer than the stanton mixer because of quality and functionality. Although the stanton has more functions and knobs, you really arent going to use them.

The pioneer 300 has all the essential functions and stuff. The stanton rm3 is similar to the vestax 270 (275) mixer. I heard stanton stole the design from vestax not sure though.

Ive used my mixer for a while now, and never have i needed to use 6 lines inputs or a mic or effects send/return. The pioneer has 2 line, 2 phono, 2 cdplayers, 2 decks. The essentials of a mixer. I looked at the specs and see the pioneer has a few diferent ways of selecting headphone monitoring.

GO FOR THE Pioneers!

(btw i have bad experiences with TWO stanton headphones), needles are good though.

one big reason: the DJM has better sound quality, especially on the EQs... Personally, I cant stand the stanton EQ's, they cut very hard but not until the bottom 10% of the EQ travel.
the faders on the pioneer will also last MUCH longer (my RM3S started to have fader bleed in just 3 months!)

i would go witht he djm300 based on the fact that you said you were geting the cdj100s

quote:

3) Fader Start Play Connecting the DJM-300 to the CDJ Series allows you to take advantage of Fader Start Play; by increasing the Fader, on the mixer, the player will automatically override the Pause control and start the music immediately. Fader Start Play also works during Cross Fading, an industry first that brings out the best of sampler-style music.

4) Fader Back Cue Play When the DJM-300 is used with the CDJ Series, the Fader or Cross Fader controls can also return you automatically to a designated cue point if desired. By fading Cross Fader back and forth or Fader up and down quickly, you can give the "essence" of scratching a certain point on a vinyl record.
