are you talking about the e-mu PROTEUS vst???
i have it, i bought it over a year ago... and liked it a lot. but i really needed the extra features that emulator x2 has, because i was really unhappy w/the samplers that came w/komplete 3.
but after the last HD reformat... i just re-installed emulator x2, and left the proteus cd in the box and forgot about it.
proteus is cool... but for the full effect, you need emulator x.
the voice processing page is the same on both programs... so w/proteus you still have all the patch chord routing capabilites, all the LFO's, function generators, filters, and the filter designer.
proteus has twist-a-loop capabilites, which i love... but you can only use it w/the twist-a-loop library that comes w/proteus. you can't import your own loops, and use the twist-a-loop features because proteus doesn't have the beat analisys feature that emulator x2 has.
also, emulator x has all the sampling, and sample editing features... proteus doesn't.
even tho they look the same, the proteus color scheme is much nicer... dark gray on blue. emulator looks ugly w/the gray, and green look.
