side chaining in logic 8

I read in a previous post about having a kick drum side chained to your bass line to give it a pulsing sound and space but dont know how to do it. I have my kick drum in ultrabeat and bass line in exs24. If you haven't guessed Im new to production so could you make it basic if it is possible. Cheers
