it won't. London is not suited to it, the transport systems will suck, climate is too iffy that many sports will take place on wet tracks & not always see the 'best' of athletes and I'm sure there will be some sort of crime or trouble to go with it too

Now that the games have been hosted in Beijing, we can pretty much throw an "iffy" climate out the window as a reason for not having the games at a certain city.

true, but the olympics are cool in sunny countries where its' nice, where u can jump into the river after winning in rowing, not get hypothermia and in the uk, wind & rain, esp wind, could be a big factor behind us not seeing world records broken etc, due to too much head or tailwind or crosswind. I'd love to be wrong, but I know my country too well

The tube will be an absolute joke.
They mid as well close half the retarded tourist stations like Picadilly Circus and just run a train a minute through all the rest. The tube at 7:00 am on a normal day is too packed to get on without skills on the Central line, I cant imagine what it would be like with thousands and thousands of more people trying to use it.
Then again, isn't the Olympic village in Stratford? I used to stay in Leytonstone which is nearby on the Central line, if anything else Stratford is very picturesque and nice and isn't in the thick of things so to speak.

The Beijing Olympics Committee really did go above and beyond everybody's expectations.
