But seriously what is up with Beatport's Territory Restrictions? I've heard they're implemented to maximize profit by forcing users to buy from more expensive labels, but what is the point when the user cannot buy the track period from ANY label? Today I was trying to buy Outwork - Break of Dawn 2008, and not ONE of the six different labels that released it would allow me to buy it. It's not like I live in some far off place such as Togo, infact I live in Belgium which has a large electro-house scene, and I've even heard this track played on hit radio stations before. This whole concept just doesn't make any sense.

There is a really logical answer to the reason why Beatport do it. Labels pay to have the track released in a certain area. It has nothing to do with maximising profits. Look for the label that has released the track in Belgium.

We should gather a bunch of TAs from around the world, setup paypal between everyone, and have each other buy said tracks.

As rory21 said, it's down to the label so Beatport aren't to blame. Have you tried looking for the track on other stores?

Same thing just happened to me i wanted to buy Play Paul and Denis Naidanow - All Mine (Eddie Thoenick mix) but couldn't cuz of the territory restrictions.
