Hey guys,

just got myself Spectrasonics Trilogy and i have the following problem:

When I place a note (from any patch), it plays a fraction of a second after it should be played.

The strange thing is that when i play the note on my midi keyboard there is no lag at all but when i play the loop with notes in place it lags...

i have tried using different sound drivers and so on but nothing seams to fix it.

any ideas chaps ?

maybe trilogy has a delay envelope? or maybe you are working with delay compensation components?

hmm nope, no delay components or any delay effect added. Its just trilogy out of the box if u will, with any standard patch selected :/

i bet it has something to do with the Live definitions then, try resetting your live to default see if that works...

try turning down your audio buffer to see if that helps. (set it to like 128)

i myself have also been having some issues with trilogy as of late. i've called into spectrasonics about 5 times over the last 2 weeks haha. is trilogy on an external HD? the data file that is.

i tried turning down the buffer size, it kinda works but then fucks up all my other vst's. makes them seem to play earlier than they shud :/ gah...

fucks up all your other vsts? is it when you hit a note on your keyboard or when u pencil it in? are we talking latency from the plugs or from your midi controller?

there is a fix for trilogy / atmosphere .

Have you checked the individual track delays? Not talking about effects here, but the millisecond value at the bottom of each track (in clip view)? Just something to knock off the list of possibilities, is all.

What he said. What version are you using? I believe there is a 1.2 update that fixes a lot of bugs.
