it isn't that far off, the american education system does a horrible job of not teaching young americans about the world around them.

most cannot even point out the 50 states, nevermind find iraq on the map.

yes it is a generalization and not true of the population as a whole, but i have seen it first hand. Would be nice if they taught world geography and history in high school like many other places do.

They teach American History in HS. Georgraphy is only skimmed over in the 7th grade. America fuk ya!

i learned this in school.

i do not live in the US.

Me too. We weren't allowed to pass the 9th grade unless we could fill out a map with states and capital cities.
