thanks mate, yea I actually got that book to start me off and agree that it is valuable. My only critique would be that it is getting a bit dated, and his descriptions of trance are full of snare rolls and gated pads etc... but woud recommend it to beginners.

I happened to record +145 videos on youtube about reason. In the first 44 videos orso, I kind of went in depth about the devices (something you would normally could read inside the manual). However, the difference with explaining it in a video or explaining it word by word is a different experience.
Other then that, I have started to work on effects (something that you won't see in the manual),different routing abilities and I happened to explain how to create certain genres as well (trance, progressive trance, groovey mixes, and last series I am making at the moment is a series about drum and bass in reason).
Heck, I have build up so much knowledge in the last 15 years, I could write books about it... but ehr yeah, I prefer making music instead
