the thing about the "new" Sasha, if you will, is that he's distinctly lackluster and no longer anything special as a dancefloor DJ. he doesn't play particularly fresh or unique tracks for the most part and there's no flow or musical journey anymore. the last time I saw him live I kept hoping for it to end because I was missing the start of Danny Tenaglia's set across town but didn't want to leave without my friends, the music just didn't go anywhere and every time he got the semblance of a groove together he'd interrupt it with 3 minutes straight of tired-out Ableton effects.
BUT, he can sure put together something nice in the studio, something for when you're winding down and relaxing and don't need to feel your body being controlled by the music. Airdrawndagger was like that, Involver was like that, and now Invol2ver is as well. Personally I hope he'll stick with his strengths and start becoming more a studio musician and less a touring DJ.
