Good solid tech house, Orange GLow is really dreamy and atmospheric.

Progressivehouse.com 4/5
2007 is remembered by most progressive house lovers as the year Toronto took over. At the forefront of this new sound emerging from the north was Glenn Morrison, who released 3 monster hits; "Contact", "No Sudden Moves" and "Cosmic Flight". It's now a year later, and Glenn is proving his strong staying power, as he joins Dave Seaman's imprint, Audio Therapy; for their milestone 50th release. This is "Glenn Morrison- Finally -AT050"

When you hit play on a Glenn Morrison tune, you know he is going to treat you to an aural journey of some sort. "Finally" does exactly that. Things get going with beautiful pads layered on top of a subtle kick. Many producers try to make the kick the center of attention, but Glenn lays it in the background during this track, allowing the beautiful melodies and his signature quarter-note synth stabs do the majority of the work. This is a typical Glenn Morrison track, with a typical Toronto sound. While it screams it's melodies and makes you move, it also gives you deja'vu, and in some ways puts you right back into 2007. "Finally" is excellent warm-up or building material, which should do very well across the board.

"Orange Glow" is another great production, which is a bit more energetic. Glenn introduces a great conga-like drum pattern early on, and things pick up quickly as atmospheric layers of pads and synth leads are slowly added, creating a dream-like atmosphere. "Orange Glow", aptly named, is a solid progressive house tune, that's filled with carefully organized, and well-tweaked layers of spacey elements that make this one worthy of plenty of play.

"Orange Glow (Amnesia Afterhours Reprise)" is a beatless version that will likely be placed in the Chill Out bins, but could also be easily used as a DJ Tool, or intro piece to any set. It's still full of energy, despite the lack of the percussion and kick drum.

Overall, "Finally" is a solid release from Glenn and Audio Therapy. Many will argue that the "Toronto Sound" is far and gone, but Glenn shows that the sound he helped create is still breathing plenty of air.

Press Release

Glenn Morrison has quickly established himself as a name to look out for
with some major releases in the past 12 months, so here at Therapy HQ we
welcomed him with open when we heard his brand new 'Finally' EP.

After a string of hugely successful releases like 'No Sudden Moves' ,
'Cosmic Flight' and 'Contact' on labels such as Mau5trap, Hope Recordings
and Armada along with remixes for the likes of Great Stuff and EMI it's no
surprise at all that he has become a very sought after producer/remixer and
DJ.

The title track 'Finally' is a solid piece of driving music with layer upon
layer of hypnotic acidic filtered lines washing in and out throughout its
course sitting over a deep groove.

'Orange Glow' is a beautifully spaced out builder of a track with luscious
warm chords wrapping themselves around the flowing percussion that leaves
you feeling as if you have just been taken on a journey.

Also added to the package is the 'Amnesia Afterhours Reprise' a beatless
version which fully utilises the string chords making it perfect for those
afterhours moments.

Another great set of tracks from Glenn with something for everyone - we hope you enjoy!

Glenn Morrison sounds nothing like Deadmau5. It was only a couple of early tracks like Contact that was the usual eighth note stuff.
