I dunno - first half was boooooorrriiinnngggggggggggg.
Maybe I'm just so sick of progressive that all its sets are starting to sound exactly the same to me, but seriously, where's the highs in this genre? Guess you could argue that it's all at a certain peak time, but that peak time is well below the trance I'm used to and love.
Last half is good, though....lots more energy, also the track at around the 10 minute mark is wicked; not peak time like I've been complaining about, but its got a great melody. Also I could swear the track listing is missing Astral Projection-Mahadeva at around the 100-minute mark - maybe instead of Body Shock - Full Moon? Good to see some psy making it! Also PVD-Flaming June at the end - who missed this?
This is what I like about Fleming - there's no rules unlike most prog DJ'S these days. All these prog DJ's like Warren, Howells, Seaman, etc. always seem to stick with the prog house these days - why not mix in some banging trance like "OO" does at the end here? It all seems to stay at the same level of excitement without a crazy climax.
I enjoyed John's Euphoria Progressive, though some of the tracks are kind of old. At least it has emotion, unlike much of progressive. Also, his live sets are fantastic......anyone who lives in T.O. and caught him at Destiny Chocolate will know what I'm talking about. He's been one of my fave DJ's since I started partying, and the last half of this set is why; unfortunately the first half was your average-sounding progressive set IMO - not really my liking but good for that genre I guess.
Fleming rocks! Now come back to T.O. soon, or I'll chronic!!!!
