I only lived there for 8 months, but for things to do during the day.

1) walk around "The Mile" and shop.
2) Go to Navy Pier (that only got my tourist attention for a few hours)
3) Go to Ed Debevic's for dinner!
4) Maybe hit up Wrigleyville for some dogs

as for the night life. I thought I knew but it has been awhile f since I've been back. My friends that live there have been hitting some pretty cool looking clubs.

1) Zentra
2) Transit
3) Spundae (official opeing on June 14th)

Of course you have Crobar.

Hope that helps!

Payce

When I went I didn't really notice, I just love the crowd vibe in general. My personal fave (for some good deep, dark, prog and house and some hard trance) is RedNoFive. Yeah, Transit is sound as well.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to see Gielen! That show will be off the hook, it's going til 8 in the morn.

cheers!
hope to see you there
Ilina

I'll make it easy.

#1. Chicago is very ANTI-Trance. There are very few trance DJs that come to our city (for a variety of reasons).

#2. Crobar is only gay on Sundays. Fridays and Saturdays are mixed, but Saturdays has the best crowd. One catch - the music is very bad: really dated hard house from around 1998-2000. But, people are into it, so whatever...

#3. Big DJs this weekend:

Friday - Derrick Carter @ Zentra (House)
Saturday - Chris Fortier @ Rednofive (Prog House)

Err... that's all there is. They aren't really that good (IMO). The weekend is going to be pretty dead.

Too bad you weren't here last week. Spundae @ Vision w/ BT and Deep Dish was off the hook!

Holy Crap!

My friends from Chicago were there. Since that scene is pretty small you might know him. Mike Manarino, big Italian dude!

Anyways, he's the guy with the digi camera all night.

That's too funny. That's the only reason I even brought up Spundae. Small freakin world.

hehe.........

Thanks for the advice guys!!!

I decided to go to Crobar and I had a fuckin' blast..............the best time I have in a club

I notice the DJ is woman and now I know her name is psychobitch...........she got some freakin skills!!

The music and the vibe is very good...........it's totally different from Atlanta's

Both the lighting and girls are fine as hell.........

I dance my ass off as the hard-house pumping through the sound system............(it was so loud that my ear was still ringing the next day)

I dance so hard I even had a cramp.........LOL

I would definitly go back to Chicago just for Crobar............
