This event is confirmed on Barbara's myspace as her debut live performance. For those who don't know, Barbara has spent 2008 cutting back on touring and working on her first artist album. The album started off as any techno artist's album would - with the intention of making a series of DJ tracks.
When Barbara's father died, she took a month off from touring and started to write. Her writing became the basis of her new album, which will be mostly her vocals (she began working with a vocal trainer to do the album) and structured like a non-DJ album would, with "songs" instead of long, linear typical DJ "tracks."
Barbara has done 2 performances in Montreal, one at Igloofest and one at a design festival (both in Montreal) but this will be her first performance outside of her hometown. I think the album is to be released in October or November.
So as much as I hate hate hate TIL as a venue, this will be a really interesting and different night that I for one can't miss.

Scott has been introduced to the rave scene, and Ecstasy, by Craig. The two of them go out on the weekends, with some of Craigs friends, and stay up all night, dancing in a drug-fueled trance.
