Yeah, I think people let the lack of 'international headlining DJs' scare them off.
Really, Toronto has killer local talent - you don't need a big-name to have a good time. The music is top-notch most of the night, the vibe is hard to find anywhere else. Dancing outside like that is ace, and the location is stellar - one of the most beautiful spots I've been to for an outdoor party.
Looking forward to next year, not going to let anything get in my way of going But, the past two years I'd rank Harvest up there as like, my #2 favorite party of the year (right behind Mutek)
Although, Music (for me) is almost 2ndary to the overall harvest expierence. The random encounters with people, the adventure of exploring the land, it's a nice chance to decompress, relax and reflect on the previous summer and what you need to do in the upcoming months (especially when I used to have a year of school ahead of me)
I'd come back feeling refreshed, energized, and motivated for the school year ahead. Toss in killer music, friendly people - and whats not to love?
*sigh* --- if it wasn't for my mom asking me to be home this weekend because of a surgery she is having, I would be at Harvest in a heartbeat.
