i haven't been hurt really at all.... i know i seem defensive but i have witnessed a lot of bullshit in marriages from my own parents and other families around me to realize that marriage isn't the way for me to go.... it just doesn't suit me.... i don't think it really suits any human when you think about it...love fades faster then you'd think... then you're stuck in pure monotonous, a dead end job, no ambition, no fun save for your few hours of respite from your needy family,and the only way out is a bullet to your dome....

I probably am very cynical when it comes to marriage. To me it's an institution of society that's designed to keep the man around while the kids grow up. I, for one, can't really see myself desiring somebody my entire life. Love in a platonic way, yes, but desire, no.

But, I do understand where you're comming from, tiesto14. If you are not in a relationship you are sending a message that you reject the way of life of the majority (those who are in a relationship). You will have to answer questions like "Shouldn't you be getting a girlfriend?" ("come on over to our side"), constantly being reminded that you are not like others. However, hard as that may be, I still think it beats spending 80% of your spare time with someone you find less than fascinating...
