This is fantastic production work. I'm not familiar with the original, but I could definitely take a lesson from you when it comes to "unnatural" percussion, and I really love the bass work in this. This is very funky/bouncy, which is something I look for in something this "minimalistic". Really makes me re-evaluate my techier stuff. These are the kinds of percussive sounds/fx I'm striving for lately.

Great job! May play this out.
