A kick, a Bass and an FL question

hey guys, was wondering if anyone shed some light on a few questions for me.

1) Starting with the kick, how does one "tune" a kick to the key their working in? If its even possible that is, I know a lot of people argue whether a kick has a tone or not(on a search of this forum anyway). Most of the vengeance minimal kicks seem to sit best around G for instance.

2) in making a multi bass bassline (sean tyas etc etc), ie an offbeat bass, and then a mid bass and a high bass, What are some good guidelines with the eq ranges of each (ie where should they cut off about) Right now im just moving it around then using my ears to check if im "right", and that takes far too long.

3) Whats a fast way to offset a loop by a very small amount in Fl studio, Right now i just route it through a simple delay with 100% wet and change the offset, but this doesn't give me exactly how much i am offsetting the loop by, which is annoying as fuck when its such a subtle change anyways, and on top of it , I waste cpu cycles on another fx (which could be better spent on a fat u6 predator lead XD)

Thanks!

1. Pointless - unless you are using one of those old skool kicks that sound a bit like a very low bass stab.

2. Experiment. Typically use a sharply enveloped sub bass for the low one, I tend to then run it through a LFP to get the best results. The mid one I try to make more rhythmic and give the track its flow. Fuck the freqencies, use your ears. If you are working towards a release the engineer will do all the for you later.

3. Turn the quantize off, zoom in until you can see the capillaries in its eyes then move it forward or back. It works, I do it with piano riffs to make them sound a bit more 'live'.
