With only a week left before Lovefest week in San Francisco this mix goes out to everyone with the same mindset as me, hoping to make it another memorable year. As you may have noticed, recent podcasts start out with something you might not usually get to hear in a club. The anthmic key driven "A New Beginning from Arney S" opens things up nicely backed up by a solid round kick drum check out some of his other work : (http://www.myspace.com/8wonders8 ). The mix keeps and up-tempo blend of minimal / tech with a piano intermission at the mid way point. JOC has two great newer tracks, the one featured; “Bumpercar” is paired up with “Marshmallow” on the release from Sanders Doorn Records. Chemistry transitions into the final energy of the mix with a techy trance tune remixed by Jerome Isma-Ae. What might be my favorite part is the calming pulse of ‘Klack’ as it ushers in ‘Voodoo Woodoo’ of the Evil Robot EP3 release with 808 style claps and a hard hitting bassline. Mark Mendes is back with “Straight Away”. He’s only 19 but I think he has found a great musical style making a name for himself. The upcoming Mark Mendes – “Anzu” as heard on Dave Spoon’s BBC Radio 1 show should be a big hit, check it out on his page http://www.myspace.com/markmendes . Kos has opened for Sasha & Digweed aswell as help out with One + One tour , here he brings the mix to a close with the peaceful, love filled track ‘Azteca’.
