Well, I actually started to cut down last February as my first effort to quit. I cut out all my habitual smoking...first thing in the morning, with tea, after meals and sex, with alcohol, etc.
I went from between half a pack - a pack a day, to no more than 5 a day.
Starting school again made it even easier to not smoke. Since September I cut it down to no more than 3 a day.
I knew last year that I would quit after my 26th birthday...hence the gradual cutting down.

Oh yeah for sure! The thing that really helps me, is every time a smoker gets on the city bus...how much they stink up the WHOLE bus. I just tell myself, "That's how YOU smell! YOU SMELL WHEN YOU SMOKE! YOU'RE GROSS!"
A lady got on the bus the other day after having a smoke, and sat down right in front of me. She stunk so bad it made me angry and sick to my stomach. I wanted to punch her in the back of the head, lol.
Not to mention the fact that I'm stronger than to be a slave to such a dirty, unhealthy habit. How could I continue to CHOOSE that for myself?? Makes no sense.
