It had just rained and I was driving my car. I drove by a cop car running radar on the side of the road. I got to this intersection and this car was stopped at a green light so I went around him. Just as I passed him I noticed he had stopped to let a soldier walk across the street, dressed in navy whites, but it was too late for me to stop.
All of a sudden I hear a siren. I pull to the side to let the cop car go by but instead he pulls me over and starts screaming at me. "Do you know what you did!" So I say that I wasn't speeding and he says that I hit a puddle sprayed water all over the soldier. So I say I'm sorry and tell him I'll go back and dry him off with a towel because I had just done laundry. Anyways I go back and I'm searching for him and that's when I woke up from my dream.
What do you think I should do? I really feel bad about the situation but there's nothing I can do now.

You see the soldier is actually you and you are actually the rest of the world, and the fact that you got the soldier all dirty (you un-patriotic son of a bitch) means that you feel as if the world has been shitting all over you. The cop is simply there to convey a message: that you suck!
