One you forgot: KLF - What Time is Love(Pure Trance)(1988), some consider THIS to be the first trance tune. IMO, trancier than the original mix of Age of Love.

BT - Embracing The Sunshine is actually from 1993.
Chicane - Offshore is from 1996, also the Disco Citizens remix. The vocal bootleg + more remixes came in 1997.
System F - Out Of The Blue is from 1999.

This massive thread might help you out, it features a list of classics categorized by the year of release. Just browse down the page.

Click!

Not absolutely every track is quite trance but most are so i believe you'll find many goodies to be included in your list. A few errors in the years here and there but that's not a biggie.

Well to be honest, if you want to write about the history of trance, anything past 2001-2002 isn't really that important IMO. Yet.

There's a bunch of tracks from between 2003-2007 i enjoy and of which many could be concidered as modern classics but by the time i get them all listed, this thread is probably full of replies listing most of them already. I'll see if i can get back to you later.

And yes, Embracing The Sunshine incl. the Sasha mixes was indeed initially released with a small pressing of 12"s in 1993 and in 1995 with a bigger pressing on cd/12" and soon after on the album Ima (UK) and in 1996 on Ima (US).
