Traktor Scratch Pro (November 2008)

I heard this thing is competing against Ableton Live and Serato, as is Traktor Pro. The latest BPM Mag says it is going to be "better" than Ableton. I have doubts that anything from Traktor will top Ableton's products.

Then again with today's moving technology it's all about out-sourcing your neighbors.

not sure if this is what your talking about bro, but i wish ableton would team up with pioneer and utilize the cdjs.

http://www.beatportal.com/feed/item...ce-partnership/

as easy as it is to dj with tracktor, looks like we will have some twelve year old dj's on the horizon. its one thing to use the software to do other things like looping, live remixing, and layering, but most non-professional dj's that use the software are just scared of matching beats imo because they aren't doing anything different(or they cant afford the cdj rig)... this doesn't pertain to everyone. like joel zimmerman said" the job of a dj is to entertain a crowd, doesn't really matter what you use" or something like that. i still consider myself a beginner dj, but i've been listening to this evil ass music since 97. this is my opinion. see ya on the 8th

i really dont think i answered your question after all this blah, blah, blah. now that i think about it.

You're absolutely correct. My mistake on putting the two as opponents. As a matter of fact they are teaming up, and now that I'm checking the magazine, it actually has that same piece of info glued onto the page.

So you're coming down for the Hurricane gig mista raver? SUWEET!

I'll wear the "I love Carlos" shirt. Should Steve get near me, I'll just call his ex, Dave.

no no, when Dave appears, Steve behaves. Then they go off and do productive things together....like cook and feed each other tacos.

I don't see much of a difference between this and what I have. More effects, custom fonts, redesigned UI, a few other things. Not too sure what the big deal is just looks like an update more than anything else. And yes for DJing Traktor is better than Serato or Ableton.
