Why not Axis-9's?
Ok, so it seems that for starter CDJ's, everybody will recommend CDJ200s. However, I don't like the look of how that platter feels (cmon, metal? :S), so I will never want to touch that ever.
So, I really want CDJ1000's, trouble is, I have to win the lottery first.
So I am looking into Axis 9's, and I have never seen anyone here talk about them. From what I can read about them they seem solid. So what does the CDJ200, or the CDJ400, do that the Axis won't?
Note: I will probably only use them at home, but please tell me what you would think about them if I were to play out with them.
My current setup is a Numark Total Control, which does excactly what I want it to do, althought the pitch control is all too short and has too low a resolution. Upgrading from that to Axis 9's, what do think now?
And I'm probably getting a DXM-somenumber mixer with them as well.
